Privacy policy
This notice describes the private backup utility operated by Leonardo Bonazzola. The utility is being configured; the following describes its intended operation when enabled.
Purpose and information used
The utility exists to back up and restore the operator’s selected project and recovery data. It requests the Google Drive drive.file scope to create and manage its application-created backup files and folders.
The local connector uses Google authorization credentials to reach the authorized account. Those credentials are kept on the operator’s devices. Google handles the sign-in and consent process; this website does not collect credentials.
Encryption and transfer
Before any backup upload is enabled, selected backup contents must be encrypted locally with restic. Rclone transfers the encrypted repository to Google Drive over the provider connection. The repository password is held separately for recovery.
The storage provider can observe operational metadata such as transfer times and stored object sizes. Encryption protects repository contents; it does not prevent deletion by someone with authorized storage access.
Use and sharing
Google API access and backup data are used for storing, maintaining and restoring the operator’s backups. The utility does not sell this data or use it for advertising. Its backup workflow does not send backup contents to AI services.
Google provides account authorization and storage. Restic and rclone run locally as backup and transfer software. This website contains informational pages, with no forms, embedded analytics or application login. The hosting provider may process ordinary HTTP request metadata for service delivery and security under its own policies.
Retention, deletion and access withdrawal
The operator chooses which recovery points to retain and remove. Revoking the application’s Google access prevents subsequent authorized access through that grant; it does not delete backup files already stored in Drive.
The operator can review or revoke the grant through Google account connections, and manage the application-created repository through Drive or the backup software. Deleting repository data can remove the ability to restore it.
